Sung Bong Choi
Can I be honest.....I was in tears before he sang. Then his unbelievable voice made it really come down. I'd like to know what's going on with him now and has he found some success through this competition.
Sharing is Caring
It's Ramadan the Islamic Holy month of fasting which happens to fall during summer this year SMILE. If you're not familiar with the practice it's simple ie; refrain from food and beverage from sun up to sun down as well as things that would distract you from religious studies. In case you missed it i'm fasting. During this month it is also required of those who are financially capable to give a portion of their earnings towards charity outside of our normal charity practices. So basically that could mean donating a bulk of food to someone in need.
This isn't always someone who is homeless. As a matter of fact I was the recipient of such donations a couple of times in the past. I was given several kinds of lentils, lamb, and a few other items. I think those are very good choices for a food donation especially non perishables like dried beans, whole grains, or canned items. In times like these we can see clearly many people are just getting by so why not lend a hand during hard times. You know a single parent has it pretty rough especially if he or she is trying to juggle 2 or more children, work, bills, home life, and sanity in the same pot. So what if you don,t know them personally show a little compassion and offer to help with dinner one night or offer to babysit while she runs errands. I don't think that's to much to ask but the thing is she probably wont but this is where you come in and put your foot in her shoes and mentally go there with what her life could be like. Compassion is just a doorbell away.

Charlie
I saw this video today about a homeless vet named Charlie. He became homeless in 2007 due to the company he worked for going out of business. Two years later Charlie is still on the streets just surviving.

What To Do
I've been up and at em doing research for up and coming projects and found quite a few interesting things. As I delve more into these 'things' my brainstorming doesn't stop. I realize I have to find a way to make sure everyone is listening and being proactive. My blog is about HELPING OTHERS. How we can help and ways to improve the quality of help that we give. In my browsing I saw various posts about these efforts some were a little sketchy but at the same time it did provide an opportunity for homeless people to earn money. Which I see nothing wrong with that considering there are many laws against pan handling as well as many requirements that wouldn't permit 'This Guy' to work in that sort of environment.
I'm really interested in meeting with THIS GUY and finding out what's his story. As a youngster in the city I sometimes gave money to THIS GUY and later opted out to just buy him something to eat due to some precautions I later developed in life. Now at this point I'm taking on a more active role to not just feed THIS GUY for a day but as the saying goes teach him how to fish for a lifetime. This is a monumental journey I'm heading on here and I ask that you all continue to support me along the way. Send me any ideas or links that'll help me raise funds for THIS GUY and anyone in his situation. We are a village now lets raise the HEART vibrations up!
